Question Need advice on broken tumbler 84 pace arrow

Hey guys, my friend put the key in my ingnition tumbler and broke it. So now the key keeps spinning and I cant get it started. Its a 1984 pace arrow with a dash mounted key tumbler. I was just wondering if anyone could give me advice on how to fix this. Also I was wondering if the two house batteries power the fridge, as I believe they are dead and the light wont turn onto the fridge anymore when plugged into shore power. I use to get the fridge bulb to turn on, but couldnt get the fridge to kick in. Im gonna double check the two 6 volt house batteries to see if they are dead. Any troubleshooting help would be appreciated. Also if someone would be willing to let me call them and maybe talk on the phone to answer a few questions i would really appreciate it. The fridge requires a good 12VDC source to operate. If your batteries are toast, forget about the fridge working; the thermostatic functions, lights, etc., won't work without good house power. The fridge will cool using LPG, but it must have some way to tell when to turn off or on. For that, you must have a good house battery/12VDC system working.

The ignition lock is pretty simple: get a replacement ignition switch and keyset.

If I were you I would start with the house batteries: pull them, put them on a 6V charger, and see if they will hold a charge. You can take them into most battery stores for testing, too.

Test the charging circuit by measuring the voltage coming out of the leads when shore power is applied, the generator is running, or the engine of the motorhome is running. You should see 13.5 or more volts across the POS/NEG battery lugs when one of those conditions are met. If not, trace back to the house control panel to find out where the failure to charge is coming from. With an old unit the first thing I would be thinking is dead batteries. Get some good ones in there and then check your charging function.

If this is a chevy chassis, the ignition switch is standard chevy. The chrome bezel with the three groves cut in it just screws out. (They make a tool that fits in the three groves to screw it out with, but a screw driver works as well.) Once you screw off the bezel, the wires just pull off the back as a plug.
