Need more heat !
O.K so I'm new to the world of class "A" gassers, and just coming over from a Jayco Seneca 33ss super "C" to a 2004 Pace Arrow 37c.
Traded coaches in SLC and drove 500 miles back to Colordo Springs a few weeks ago, in some pretty cold weather.
Love the way this coach (with only 31K on the clock) drives BUT I'm used to the nice tight driver's compartment in the Jayco, and the Pace Arrow is WIDE OPEN up front.
My issue is that the heater is like an 85 year old lady breathing on my ankles......
I had to keep my winter coat and gloves on the whole drive, and I was still cold. I know that there is a whole lot more volume in this "A", but Geeeze !
Question is, have any of you owners with a similar coach found a solution for staying warm up front, short of hanging a curtain, behind the driver's seat ?

Have you got the engine up to temp then stopped and felt the hoses into and out of the firewall going to the heater core? That would be the first check. Making sure both the hoses are just a little too hot to keep your hand wrapped around them.
If they aren't very warm, you might need to change the thermostat, and check to see if the manufacturer of the RV didn't put shut off valves in each hose and someone may have turned them off. Or a hose may be kinked.
And of course check that the water temp valve operates correctly and is fully opening when called for.

Sounds good.
Our first trip home was a hurry up job. Now we can work on her and sort out all kinds of bugs. Will crank her up and check the hoses first.

Yes, we have a similar heating and cooling issue in our class-A. The dash vents will blow rather hot or cold, however the vents are trying to warm/cool 1,260 cubic feet. With that said, our RV does have 1-1/2" floor insulation and 4-5" of ceiling insulation.
Things to check:
Missing or inadequate insulation inside of the front cap, (behind the cabinets). Thermal insulation in the dog house. (Most gas RV have zero)
Check the dash hoses for insulated hoses. (Ours did not have insulated defroster vents and were exposed to outside air temperatures.)
Check for air leaks. (This will require you to have someone "feel" for cold air entering the coach.
Lastly, you can erect a temporary curtain just behind the front seats to keep the conditioned air from escaping.

All three of my Class A MHs have had major air leaks in the wall in front between cabin and front cap. Get help to shine strong flashlite both ways. Expandable foam, insulation etc to plug holes.

Yup! They (Decatur service center) worked on mine while under warranty and it made a big big difference.
