Need new air filter, But
When I replaced my air filter last time I used an Ecolite 62891-002, but when I try to look for it I get all different ones. Did ecolite get bought out? If you know what I need would be great

I just bough one from a local Freightliner dealer (Sacramento). Also it was $98 and the equivalent form Napa (Wix probably made in China) was almost $400. I tried shopping on line because I live over an hour from Sacramento and its easier, but I had trouble finding the correct filter too. So check with your local FL shop. Mine had 4 in stock.

ECO & Ecolite are brand names from Parker-Racor and they are very much in business. I Googled that part number and found a couple sources. Then I checked RVChassisparts.com and found this one:

you have to be careful with Amazon because they sell what I see as counterfeit products that have labeling that mimics the real thing - same design, font, and colors but slightly different. Ive called them on it a couple times and never got a reply.

I have had good luck with amazon filters. I did see one the picture did not look good. The oil and fuel filters I have bought, someone bought in bulk with the minimum packaging and is reselling. The first fuel filter cartridge I received, I thought was a counterfeit. I went to a cumming shop and bought and it also had the minimum packaging.
I had bad luck with napa cross reference filters. The water separator they sold me a 5 micron, which the oem was a 20 micron. The fs cartridge filter next to the injection pump also has water separation capability and a water drain. nap sold me a wic filter with no water separation capability. It was smaller and at 5 micron, where the oem is rated at like 90% at 5 and 100% 10 micron.
