"New" '07 Bounder is home--well, sort of

Hi folks,

I previously posted questions about this Diesel Bounder 38N, but they were about things to look out for prior to purchase (and the responses saved us a fair penny--thanks to all who contributed)and now the deal is done and those issues are past. Well, sort of...

One of the problems we found during the PDI was that the passenger side "hood", actually the access cover to the generator, wouldn't completely latch.

Looking at it closer, the problem is actually that the cover is not properly aligned. It is 1/2 inch high and 3/4 inch closer to the driver's side. Additionally, there are three 6 (or so) inch bolts with lock nuts which I assume are intended to provide support to the cover.

None of the three actually contact the cover, but are anywhere from 1/8 to 1/4 inch from contact.

I did bring this to the Service Manager's attention after the PDI. He assured me today it had been resolved. Not accurate. The passenger side latch indeed is latched, but the core problem is not resolved.

We took it anyway. We wanted to get it closer to home (storage) for personal setup time.

The vertical adjustment of the cover looks fairly straight forward (elongated holes which look like there is some movement available), but the horizontal adjustment (and most out of adjustment) is a mystery to me. I can find nothing that will allow me to move the cover a bit from driver's side to passenger's.

Any ideas?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve
