Hi all! Haven't done mechanics for awhile so here goes. Have a 1986 bounder (just bought) coach is nice but p30 chassis needs work. Front brake lines clogged fluid looked like used motor oil. Okay changed master cylynders packed bearings turned rotors.Good so far. Outer replacement pad fits new caliper very loosely original equipment very tight is this a problem? Is this a floating calipet? How can it be when you drive awedge between caliper and spindle seems very fixed to me. Maybe if I understood how the outer pad puts friction on the rotor I would be good to go. Please help

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! Not a mechanic for sure so can't help with that. Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
