New Pace Arrow generator access

Looking at PA's and Discovery's with hope to buy in September. Curious and concerned about getting to the generator in the Pace Arrow for full service. Discovery and other DP's have the nice generator slide out for service. How do you 2016-2018 Pace Arrow owners manage full gen access?

On the Pace the oil filter and fuel filter access from underneath so you would service those while laying on your back.

On the Discovery, you could simply pull out the generator slide and then access the oil and fuel filter from underneath, while laying on your back. But it looks way cooler doing it on the Discovery.

The PA is a rebranded Fleetwoods Excursion (which I used to have). Any service beyond an oil change requires the generator to be dropped. Of course you have to ask yourself exactly what besides an oil change can you really do yourself?

The PA and the Discovery (which I now have) are like apples and oranges way beyond the generator being on a slide. The Discovery is a higher end product superior in so many ways. If you're looking at both I'd bet you'll choose the Discovery.

Thanks so much.

I appreciate the feedback. Definitely leaning towards the Discovery with regards to Fleetwood.

Read my old posts on both coaches. Don't be afraid to buy used. My Discovery was almost 2 years old when I bought it and I'm just taking it in after 18 months to get some small problems fixed. The Excursion was brand new and was going in for warranty work every other month.

Definitely considering slightly used. I'm still a month away...everything I see gets scooped up so fast. Hoping they'll be some options in early September.
