More pictures. I can only hope these were taken earlier in the week. This is supposed to be nearing completion.

I just got them from Camping World this afternoon after requesting them all week.

Starting to get a little nervous since I had plans for next weekend.

I let them know, they are getting short time.

Additional pictures taken Saturday morning 6-14.

Almost no progress in 3 days as they had an emergency come in from another store that didn't do its job and had to work on their coach from California so they pulled work from mine.

No, I agree Dave, no hurry, BUT I don't want it becoming a permanent fixture either.

They guaranteed me it would be done Wednesday, but I don't see how.

I don't want it slop jobbed back together either.

Go4 you must know about this work.

They are replacing or entirely re-decking before the rubber roof with new luan.

Does it look like they are ready for that phase now?

Thanks!

From the pictures it looked like the surface was prepared for putting the rubber on. Putting the rubber down goes really fast. Then its just sealing vent covers and ac. Hope they get it done for your trip.

AMEN Sarah!

I understand from talking to the tech and others in the industry its commonplace to add another layer of the Luan on top of the existing as its much easier to put the EDPM over the new sheet of luan rather than spending all the time trying to remove the old rubber roof and repair all the nicks, scrapes, and degraded luan from the original install.

Hope to see the new rubber roof on today.

Will keep you posted!

Kent

Almost finished.

They contacted me late yesterday and are having trouble finding new rivets in the right length. She said they were headed to Cleburne to hopefully find them if not, they will have to order them she said.

Too bad they didn't know this when they took the old ones out 2 weeks ago, but that's something I'm not complaining as long as they get it right.

The tv antennas are not back on it looks like, but I think they have to get the sides locked down first, so the riveted side tracks have to be completed. I am upgrading the satellite from the manual one to a Winegard Pathway X1 with the roof mount kit.

He also told me (Dave-listen to this) that the cable for the local antenna was completely severed in two at the roof line...no wonder that signal finder didn't work, but I still got lots of channels near cities, (here, Co. Spgs, Denver, etc) since we spliced it. So they will run a new coax down and that should really help that as well.

There are still some bubbles and spots (luan joint) that haven't completely adhered yet, but I understand those disappear after a few days.

Here's the picture from yesterday:

They found the rivets and all is well. Still have to put the new slide topper on the galley slide, change out the smoke colored vent cover (confusion made somebody change the white one out for smoke) put the gutter extensions back on the front. All else is coming together nicely.

HOWEVER: I found out that Dometic 9100 awning has power to the switch at all times. Even when traveling down the road. Even though it is mounted out of the way and down by the door (see switch picture), I'm extremely concerned about someone messing with that while traveling, even while stopped somewhere, or accidentally bumping it getting in and out of the coach.

I assumed it was on a cut-off like the steps retract automatically when the engine is running. I don't want that button live while traveling!

The very least I think is to put some sort of lock/cover over it. I have to analyze it more.

They should be through with it today or tomorrow.

Here are pictures I took when I went over yesterday to look at it.

Wow, it looks great, Kent. You are going to love the power awning. If they wired it like ours, it won't extend while the engine is running if you press the button. I don't believe it retracts automatically if it is already out when the engine starts...but I don't remember for sure.
