New Technology

I have an old '98 Fleetwood Flair 30' and it's good for the wife, the pup and me. I have done some things to modernize this 57K mile RV, and was wondering what you folks think. I installed the Hawking Antenna, Booster, and Router for the Wi-Fi, an On-Demand Hot Water Heater, and a Sleep Number bed. Well, the old crank-up Antenna has slipped gears and I am thinking this was good in its day, but that day has passed. I'm thinking about just taking it down to eliminate clutter on the roof, maybe even put up a solar panel to help the batteries stay up on the charge.
What do you guys think? I already have more in it than the book says it's worth, but what the heck- it's this or an apartment and I don't want that. I prefer my rolling home in the mountains or by the lake or even down at the ocean when it's not too hot. RVs are the best, I should have done this 40 years ago (but the kids kinda kept me workin'). Thanks for the ideas and have a good trip!

Do what you enjoy you are doing not different than so many others cars,MH it cost more to fix than they are worth but they are to good the throw away.

I have experimented with various different RV antennas and found that my old 20 year old Winegard batwing antenna gets better TV reception than most.
Parts are available to fix yours.

Tech Updates

Thanks folks-
Mel, my part looks like it costs $6 +/-, so I may just fix it. I was thinking it would be like 'rabbit ears' on a TV, but if it works better than WiFi in some places, it would be worth the time and money.
Climbing that ladder will be getting old quick! Have a good trip!
