New to me 1996 Southwind 35LS

Hi, I'm buying a 1996 36' Southwind with slide and Chevy chassis on Tuesday. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with one of these and could provide any insight on this unit? I cant find any specs online anywhere. I trying to find out what the tank capacities are and engine hp rating mostly. Also, I need to see if I can get a new pair of bumpers and grill and am having trouble finding a salvage yard. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Forum.

Mine is a 99 on a Ford F53 chassis. Some of the coach stuff may be similar, but nothing on the chassis.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

I also had a 96 Southwind 36 at one time but is was on a Ford F53 chassis with an add-on tag axle. That was back in 1999 and I don't remember the details very well.

The Chevy P30 chassis used a 454 V8 engine that produced 230 hp @ 3600 rpms. Torque is 385 lb-ft at 1600 rpms.

View the 1996 Southwind Owner manual here (but don't expect much detail - it is generic for all models)
