New User Do you own a 2003 Fleetwood Excursion? I need help!
I'm new to this forum. I have a 2003 Fleetwood Excursion I just got. Looking to talk to anyone who has this same model so I can figure out how to repair the inverter setup. My RV had a Xantrex 458 Inverter/Charger and was replaced with a Inteli-Power 9100 Charger. Now the inverter is not operational.
Need to figure out some wiring to put the system back to a Inverter/Charger.
I can explain what I need.
Where Do I post?
How Do I post?
Craig

I have this document showing a normal configuration with an inverter/charger (xantrex 458) which is what I have in mine. Hope it helps or just ask your questions and we'll try and help.

The Diagram you sent confirms what I need to do. I have two questions that I still need help with. I had to collect images and think about how to ask thats why the delay.
1. How to wire the circuit panel back to the way it is supposed to be
2. How to connect the wires back to the New Xantrex 458
I have attached Three pictures which I will go into detail on my questions below.
Image 1 shows how the wires are connected in the breaker panel
Image 2 shows the circuit panel wiring diagram
Image 3 shows the wires where the wires connect to the Inteli-power charger
The Breaker Panes is an Intellitec Energy Management System Model 900. Which controls what breaker will work based on the amount of power the system receives from either {shore power, Generator or inverter}
Question 1: In the image 1 the last breaker to the right is a 30 amp Breaker labeled [inverter]. The wire (1) that leaves that breaker goes to the red wire nut. There are two other wires connected to the wire nut {3 in total}. One (#2) goes to the terminal block on the right, the third screw from the bottom. {on image 2 this is the labeled BRKR #1}. Wire #3 goes to the only orange wire coming out of the Breaker Panes which goes to the Image 3 charger wiring box.
There is no wire connected to the terminal block 2nd from the bottom {labeled in image2 as Relay #1}
My question is should all three of these wires be connected together or Should the #3 Orange wire be removed from the wire nut and placed on this relay #1 Terminal Screw?
Note: The orange cable is the wire that leaves the breaker panel that goes to the Image #3 box.
Question2: In image 3 there are 4 wires in this junction box. These are the wires that need to get reconnected to the new Xantrex 458.
The orange cable comes from the Breaker Panel
The Black cable comes from the Inteli-Power which I’m removing to switching back to the Xantrex. There are two other Yellow cables.
As per your diagram. The black cable is eliminated. I’m assuming that the orange cable should be connected to the Primary Power on the 458, and the two yellow cables get connected to the Loads on the 458.
Is this how it should be done?

Looks like we have the same electrical panel and EMS. Here's a pic I have of my breaker panel when I was changing out the 50A breaker. Maybe you'll be able to tell something. When I get back to town on Sunday I can go up to the rig and check on some of your specific questions, if you haven't already figured it out....

Hi Craig,
I'm back in town and can go up to my rig and take more pics if you need. If so, do you just want better pics of the breaker wiring? And pics of the junction box where shore power comes in?
Let me know,
Randy

Here are some pics of my electrical system. I have the same EMS Model 900 and the Xantrex Freedom 458 Inverter/Charger (The shore power junction box pic is turned 90 degrees here, for some reason):
Hope this helps!

Thanks for your pictures. I have all I need now. The Picture of my junction box was not of the shore power but of the added junction box to reconnect all the wires using the Inteli charger. That box will be illuminated when I switch back to the 458. I found the micro plug to use the remote inverter turn on so that will go back in the remote spot on the 458 and my Circut box is wired the same as yours so I'm good there now too! Thanks Again Craig

The Inteli-Power 9100 Charger is not an inverter like you had before. Are you replacing ti with an inverter/converter/ charger?

I believe Craig indicated that he was replacing it with a new Xantrex 458, just like the original.
