Discovery: No Hot Water 2014 Discovery 40G

I can hear the gas lighting and running for the instant on water heater but I am not getting hot water to any fixture.. No leaks, just no hot water.

2014 Dicovery 40G with electric and gas water heaters. We are out for a few days and just found this.. Any ideas on where to start would help..

Is the Hot Water Heater by pass turned on? Or Off?

BYPASS valve was on but must have had debris in it. I opened and closed it several times with the hot was open in the water bay and it started running fine. Is working at all fixtures.

If your bypass valve is in by pass mode and no water in the tank you will hear a sound like a M-80 firecracker going off IF the electric water tank switch is on. Or a bad electrical smell... If not in bypass mode...



If your gas is working or your electric heater is working, feel the tank. Is it HOT? If it is then you MIXING VALVE is bad.
