loulong, I didn't know what exactly the two switches turn on/off... Main vs Aux...
Aux = house
Main = chassis
correct?
What does having the chassis battery switched 'on' do for me (other than turning the step on...)? The engine starts either way.
I don't understand the need for 2 separate switches - is there any situation where I'd want one on and not the other?
THANKS
The main (chassis) disconnect does in fact disconnect all the items added to the chassis by the coach builder. (i.e. LP detector, steps, power seats, mirrors, awnings, leveling jacks, etc...)

The reason the coach will start even with the disconnects in the STORE position is that an "ignition disconnect override" function was added to the BCC circuit board a few years ago. You would appreciate this more if you had the old style, like I do, and had to jump up and activate the switch, because the engine wouldn't start (after you had already sat down and buckled in) as many times as I have.

PM me (with an e-mail address) if you can read a wiring diagram and I'll give you a link to your BCC documentation and trouble shooting procedures.

Ok, I got new batteries (2 6V GC2 Duracell from Sam's - 110Amp Hrs each) and when those didn't solve my power step inop issue I used the Battery Control Center troubleshooting guide that loulong sent.

Unfortunately, I didn't figure out what the problem is yet.
Here's what I did/found:
Both the chassis and coach batteries are charged.
When I push the disconnect switch for the Coach, there is power to the solenoid under the hood.
When I push the disconnect switch for the Chassis, there is NO POWER to the (other) solenoid under the hood.
I checked all fuses under the hood and in the coach (under the fridge)
I also tried turning on the key to see if I could get the ignition override to turn on the Chassis circut but that didn't work either.
I isolated the energize wire (purple) and the de-energize wire (gray) and checked the first section for continuity and it was fine. I also checked for voltage at the last wire harness connection before the harness went into the coach at the front right corner and didn't get any voltage when I pushed the switch.
I also checked the switches themselves and they do have continutiy when they are pushed. I didn't check for voltage (should have) at the switch.

I still have not found what I would consider to be the 'Battery Control Center Electronic Circuit Board' - just the relays and fuses underhood... I see nothing that looks like a circuit board - anywhere. I looked behind the coach batteries, under the hood, near the steps, under the fridge (fuse box 120V and 12V and converter behind flip down circuit panel)... Nothing....

Perhaps I'm not seeing the forest for the trees but I just can't find the controller circuit board.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Is the 'charge controller' that I see under the fridge also my 'battery control center'??? If so, then I feel like a royal dumb dumb not realizing it sooner...

I do remember now - I did not call Fleetwood but I need to - for info on where to find my BCC - and also to get the wiring and plumbing diagrams for my RV.

I wish my BCC was as accessible as yours - I have looked every where that doesn't take considerable disassembly to access and have not found it. I'm racking my brain trying to think of a place where it could be that I have not looked. I didn't look under the rearward facing dinette seat yet next to the steps (need to take the seat plywood out to do so) but I know it's not under the forward facing seat since I've had that seat out to reinforce the seat belts. I would assume they'd want it close to the batteries - which are front right and just behind the front left wheel...

Thanks for the reply. I'll call Fleetwood and eventually post what I find regarding location of BCC as well as problem & solution. THANKS!
