No power to steps

Hi Folks
Looking for some suggestions or ideas of what could be causing my issue. I have a 2020 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 36U. It’s been plugged into shore power while sitting in car port next to house since October 2021. I unplugged the shore power to move it out of carport to take it to Freightliner for a recall issue. After I moved it, it sit unplugged for a day but when I opened the entrance door the steps did not extend. Checking the control center panel I saw the chassis batteries were reading 0.0 volts but the motor home still started with no issues. I started the generator and after it ran for a few minutes the steps deployed and the reading for the chassis batteries kicked in and read 13.7 and matched the coach battery reading. Has anyone experienced this issue with your coach and if so what was your remedy? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check the “Use/Store” switch position. Try the steps when the function of that switch is in either mode - depending on how your coach is wired and the charge strength of all the batteries on the coach.

Usually the steps power from the chassis batteries - YMMV.
