OEM?

I have a quick question for my fellow Bounder owners. My sales brochure from '06 shows a Norcold as original equipment. After two years in this coach, it suddenly occurred to me that I have a Domestic in here. Now this might not have bothered me much, except I also noticed that the fire extinguisher at the front door is much smaller than the bracket used to store it. Do you think I might have had a fire in here? I can't find any other evidence to support that and the op is not available. It is definitely a " Hmmm . . .? " moment. Back then, was Domestic even an option?

Interesting. The PO could gave changed out the extinguisher. The refrigerator is a little more difficult. I'm not sure if they offered Dometic back then. My 08 had the Norcold. A call to FW might get you an answer. 800-322-8216.

We have a Georgie Boy on our lot and the sticker in the cabinet shows a Dometic as the installed option, but a Norcold is in there.
If there was a fire, you'd see it for sure.
I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it.

Just got off the phone with FW. Their records only go back to 2008, but domestic was not an option. I can't call it anything other than a swap out at this point. GB is right. I'm putting this aside.

Good idea. It ( the Norcold ) must have needed a new cooling unit and the PO replaced it with the Dometic. Not that uncommon. Go and enjoy.
Thanks for the update

If there was a fire you would see signs. Impossible to hide.

Our new 2005 Fleetwood Providence came with a Dometic ss side by side when we bought the coach new. Some Fleetwood Provs had Norcold....maybe depending on floorplan...or chassis. Our Providence is on a Spartan Mountain Master customchassis where many others are built on a Freightliner. Luck of the draw I guess.
I agree with the others. I think you could scout around to see hints of a fire if there had been one.
