please, Please PLEASE contact your state Attorney General's office! I don't have any personal experience with AZ AG's office, but I've worked with WA, NC, and here in KY's AG, and they have ALL been extremely helpful to me.
1st,. You have to have a legitimate gripe, not be a whiner (You do, and you aren't!)
2nd. You have to have attempted to solve the problem yourself by working through the appropriate people (dealer, manufacturer, you have!)
3rd. You have to be getting nowhere fast in your resolution. (You aren't as the recurring problems prove.)
4th. And arguable most important, you have to have written documentation, including communications with dealer/manufacturer defining the problem, what has or what has not been done to rectify the situation, and the outcome of the communications. In a situation like this, I would keep a log on an excel spreadsheet with date, time, contact method (could be in person, e-mail, phone, letter, etc) what was discussed. I often will be typing it as I talk to someone on the phone, pausing briefly while typing to say something like, hold on a sec, I'm typing what you are saying, and I don't type too fast! Reference on the spreadsheet any written documentation relating to each incident, tow receipt, repair invoice, hotel bills, cancelled campground confirmations, etc.
Also document phone messages left, when people do NOT respond to requests for information.
Heck, put it in a tabbed three ring binder, send the entire works to the AG's office (scan and upload everything as supporting documentation to your problem. The first thing in the binder should be your "window sticker" showing in all it's glory what you were purchasing, and the MSRP the dealer wanted. Document EVERYTHING!
I hate to say it, but the "thud" factor is important (the louder the sound your documentation makes when you drop it on the floor is what I call the "THUD" factor! He who has the most documentation generally wins in a fight like this.
Make sure that the AG's office understands that you come to them as a last resort because you don't know where to turn to next! They are people, they have similar problems, and they will want to help the little guy!
Good luck and please keep us updated!
