Outside TV

I just got my new 2015 Motorhome and took a trip out west from MN. The outside TV is located in a compartment by the front door. The box has pulled apart from the motorhome and has let dirt and water in the compartment. My dealer is telling me that the box was not to be water proof. Why would Fleetwood put a TV in a compartment that was not water proof?

Sounds like the dealer is making things up as he goes. I have a TT with an outside TV. The compartment is definitely watertight as it has electrical connections. As you said, it doesn't make sense to put an appliance like a TV in an unprotected compartment.

All of my basement compartments are "water resistant" but definitely not "water proof". However, under normal conditions, the TV should not be wet.

Our 2012 Fleetwood Discovery has an outside TV in the identical spot - just outside the passenger door, and on a slide. Never had a problem with water getting in. I think the salesman is hoping you'll accept his answer. Check with Fleetwood for a definitive answer. (800) 322-8216 I'm sure they will make it right if there's a construction issue. We've been treated very well by Fleetwood.

And, welcome to IRV2!

Water resistant but the problem is it pulled apart I've never had any problem with dirt and water in mine.

Same here. Five years and never had that issue.

Outside TV is water tight from the outside - never seen water and nor dust in the opening, there was another post awhile back where a coffee spilled on the counter near the sink dripped down on the radio in the tv compartment.
