PA 37C Bedroom Door Track

The track holding the sliding door into the bedroom of my Pace Arrow 37C has never been fully attached to the ceiling. The track seems to be fairly well attached on the hall end but the rest of the track has all the screws stripped out. I have tried adding screws next to the original holes in the track but they don't seem to be screwing into anything substantial enough to hold the door up. The door is heavy and the added screws do not hold. Does anyone have any kind of diagram or picture of the interior ceiling structure to see what is up there to screw into? Or had the same problem with a fix? Thanks.

Is this a pocket door?
Do you have full access to the original screw holes?

Not a pocket door. The entire track and door are accessible from the bedroom.

I had something similar on mine. Several of the screws pulled loose from the air that they were screwed into on I-40.

What I did is remove the door, mine are hollow core so not real heavy, couldn't find what they were mounted to and since the screws are about 2" long didn't want to risk anything longer going through the roof. I used several butterfly screws and prayed that the luan ceiling was secured tight enough to support them. So far still good.

Since then I have bought a borescope that connects to my phone using bluetooth. One of the TDL items is to run it up in the cavity and take a look, since I have the toilet room wall that shifts around too.

For the $30 I spent on it it has been worth it. https://amazon.com/gp/product/B07C9C...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Sounds like a plan. I will get the scope and look around. I believe it is screwing into wood...
