Wondering what Pace owners think of their choice. Recommend a person upgrading to a DP to go with the Pace Arrow?

while I prefer gas models I have owned several PaceArrows over the years mostly because of the floor plan.

lower fuel cost, less maintenance, less up front cost, easier to fuel and doesn't sink. just doesn't make sense to me to pay diesel cost 100% of the time when the extra pulling power is nice to have about 10% of the time. I will say that a gas coach will never ride as good as a DP, more to do with chassis than motor. I drive a lot of small trucks (p.u., box truck, etc.) pulling trailers and will take gas over diesel every time.

I don't know if the attachments will open. If not I can email them to you. I got them from Fleetwood. It covers all models in 1997. I can't see them being a lot different for years near 1997. I can tell you from following wires all around and replacing all outlets, drawings aren't perfect, but a general idea.

We purchased the 2018 Pace Arrow XLE 36 B DP with W/D in Jan 2019. We traded in the 36 HR Adminral gas ,workhorse chassis. This new Freightliner 360Hp with two slides fits our travel needs very well. The ease to drive in all terrains, road conditions is no stress for this 72 year old retiree. My only dislike is that DEF requirement. It's just another government $ pit. and care for me . We plan on having this unit a min of 10 years . The Price, the floor plan, the life time warranty by Dixie Rv is what we wanted . The one year warranty work for factory defects has been very good by Fleetwood and Dixie RV without objection

Totally agree. We bought the 2018 36U in December 2018.
Our warranty work has been relatively easy and conflict free. Our biggest complaint has been “fasteners” there aren’t enough and in some cases aren’t the best ones for the job. Easy to drive. Ours is the 340HP Cummins w/Allison 2600 tranny. Didn’t know you could get a 360 in a Pace Arrow. That said the 340 isn’t a race car up grades, but certainly pulls better than our 2012 F10 gasser. We spend about 120 nights per year in ours and drive probably 20 days of those, depending on where we go.

Thanks Joestein for posting the wiring diagrams. I just picked up a 94 Pace Arrow from my brother. it has a few wiring issue's but the diagrams will help. This unit has the Chevy 454 that needs a good tune up. Ruffly 69K miles. I need to figure out how to adjust the E brake.

Do you mean the parking brake? I am in the same boat. Mine has ford chassis but can't be too different. Pedal to cable to brake that goes around drive shaft. From things I've read and heard, it's not supposed to be able to stop, but keep from rolling. Supposed to keep vehicle from rolling when in neutral when on gentle slope. Mine can do that but I don't trust. Pedal goes all the way down. I don't think is easy to replace pads in there either. If it's ever been driven while on likely toasted. I wish I knew more, as always.

My bad, it is 340 hp with 2500 allison . Not the 360 as I stated earlier.. I put on cruise control at 62 mph in 70 zone and relax . If big incline I take off cruise and let the allison do its thing. I never disengage exhaust brake unless where posted.
