Hello fellow Pace Arrow owners...I have a 2004 Pace Arrow 37C.

Anyone know how many amps is recommended for the power converter? Or the model # of the power converter that is compatible ? I suspect similar models around the same year would use the same power converter. In my model/year the power converter is installed under the washer/dryer (photo attached).

I have to replace mine and want to ensure I order the correct one. Unfortunately my motorhome is in offsite storage and I forgot to write down before I left. Just want to save a trip back and forth .

Nothing on DC power

New owner 1997 pace arrow so know nothing.
Nothing electrical works on DC power. Have new batteries.
Everything works on shore power.
Dont know where to start looking.

Your BCC (battery control center) has two 12v resettable circuit breakers ( my Bounder did).

No dc power from new batteries

I own a 1993 Pace Arrow 35V and it has 2 battery disconnect switches/circuit breakers over the passenger door to disconnect both battery banks for long term storage. Unless those switches are ON neither the house nor the start batteries are connected to their respective busses and nothing that they power will work.
With shore power connected, your CONVERTER will operate powering your 12 VDC busses and all of your 12 VDC lights and appliances will work. Shore power itself will power all of your 120 VAC outlets and appliances!
Remember that even when disconnected, standard flooded lead acid (FLA) will discharge at about 1% of capacity per day due to internal resistance. For long term storage, they should have a battery maintainer/trickle charger connected to them to keep them at a full charge which is much better for the battery life. Best of luck, George

Old "DUMB" Converters VS New "SMART" Converters

As part of a major electrical upgrade to our 1993 Pace Arrow, we removed the old DUMB converter and replaced it with a new SMART converter that charges the batteries in 4 stages. The old converter would boil the batteries if left plugged in while in storage. The new converter charges the batteries in 4 stages switching to a maintainer charge when fully charged. We can now plug our coach into our RV box and leave it there while we are not using it with no worries that it will boil the batteries. The total cost was about $400, $250 for the converter and 1 hour labor to install.

Digital Voltmeter - A Very Handy Feature

As part of our major electrical upgrade to our 1993 Pace Arrow, we installed a digital voltmeter in our electrical panel over the passenger door. It has a center OFF, spring loaded, momentary left/right switch for reading the battery banks. Knowing that about 12.2 VDC FLA battery voltage is approximately 50% capacity (best for battery life to recharge at that point), we start the generator and run it for about an hour to bring the batteries back up to a higher start of charge. We do not aim for a 100% state of charge as that is a very inefficient use of the generator as batteries get much harder to charge as they near a state of full charge. Batteries do like a full charge and it enhances battery life, but we wait until we are on shore power to accomplish a full charge. Remember that if charging the batteries, you are reading the charging voltage, not the battery voltage! Best, George

Hello!


I have a 1998/9 pace arrow and the charging system is a mess. I have replaced all the relays and mother board but the two circuit breakers on the bottom left I cannot find if you know where I can get them please let me know. Once I have all the pieces I will try to find someone with the know how to set things up for me. I have been working with this thing for far too long and those that have worked on it just made it worse.

Hello,
I am a new RV owner and do not know much as of yet. I do like to do my own mechanical work though whenever possible.
I am struggling to find wiring/harness spec sheets and also mechanical repair manuals for the different systems. I have the general owners manual. But, I can not locate the " owner information packet" which I think has the more detailed data I need to start tracing, ordering parts and repairing.
I would sure appreciate any Guidance if someone has an opportunity.

Someone on here has most info on a DVD. I can't remember who but the DVD is invaluable. Perhaps he will see your post.
