Question Pace Arrow Vision 33ft 1996

Hi,

I bought this motorhome a year ago and I have a few questions.

1) What is "Vision" standing for in the name?

2) I do not have the owner's manuals. Do you know how I can get them?

3) I have a trailer hitch but I do not know how much I can pull (no sticker on it).

4) My 3pt jacks (leveler) is working ok but lately the red light on the panel turned red meaning the jacks are not up (but in reality they are up) and a flashing red ligh stays on.

5) Anything else I shoud know (be aware of) concerning Pace Arrow 1996?

Looking forward for help.

Thanks,

François

(1) My understanding is that there used to be a Vision motorhome company and Fleetwood bought it up and merged into the Pace line-up and kept it as part of the name. That would have been many, many years ago. Don't know how accurate this story is, but it's the only one I've heard.

(2) The owner manual is actually a set of manuals, primarily from the appliance and component suppliers, e.g. Atwood, Dometic, Thetford, Power Gear, etc. If you identify what brands and models you have for the various items, the manuals for those are usually available online. Fleetwood has a generic motorhome manual that you can order, but its just routine care and maintenance stuff. Nothing specific to your coach. Contact Fleetwood Customer Service to order.

(3) I would assume 3500 lbs unless you can verify more. That's what the hitch on our 96 Southwind (essentially a twin of the Pace) was rated for. You are also limited by the GCWR of the coach.

(4) I'm guessing you have Power Gear jack system. The usual reason for that is low fluid in the hydraulic reservoir. Top it up and the light should go off. Only add fluid when the jacks are retracted.

(5) It's an excellent coach! Enjoy it!

Thanks Gary

Thanks for the answers.

(4) The oil level is ok. I guess the switch is at fault.

I also had a Southwind and it was 3500 lbs. I had a sticker in the closet which listed all the info: GCWR, hitch, etc.

HI
The first owner of my 2000 Flair had the rear frame re-enforced as to up the towing capacity (frame strength wise) to 5000 lb.
Then does one have the power, gearing, and engine/trans cooling capacity to tow more than 3500 lbs.

Keep an eye on the sealing materials on the windows and at the cap to roof joint. These are areas that are prone to leaks and a leak equals delamination of the side wall.

We had an 1989 Pace Arrow and I swore, I'd never own anything with Fleetwood on it again. Since we have had a 1995 Avion 5er that was a good unit and now an 1989 Avion silver travel trailer. Our friends have a 1996 Southwind and it has had delamination issues fro a number of years. One trip back to Fleetwood to have one sidewall replaced.
