Pancake air tank in front left compartment 04 eagle

My 04 eagle has a small air compressor and probabaly 4 gallon pancake type air tank in the front left compartmen. The tank has a pin hole in it and the compressor never builds enough pressure to shut off. So I just pulled the power wire. My question is what does this compressor actually supply air to? Everything works as it should as long as the engine is running. And the pancake tank doesn't leak, so the main engine compressor must not supply air to the tank. Does that compressor keep air to the air door lock air step cover and maybe air leveling system when the engine is not running?

While I do not have your model coach, I believe that this compressor is likely for air leveling only. I have heard small compressors running in our storage yard for coaches that have the air leveling feature.

Your step cover, air door lock are likely plumbed to the engine's compressor as they are most likely not needed while you are parked.

I have a 2011 Eagle. That is for the air leveling system. You could swap out the tank.

I put a relay on mine to a ricker switch so if I am parked I can shut it down. When we are ready to leave I turn it back on.

The door air runs of the air brake system.
