Everything works as it should as long as the engine is running. And the pancake tank doesn't leak, so the main engine compressor must not supply air to the tank. Does that compressor keep air to the air door lock air step cover and maybe air leveling system when the engine is not running?
I have a 2011 Eagle. That is for the air leveling system. You could swap out the tank.
I put a relay on mine to a ricker switch so if I am parked I can shut it down. When we are ready to leave I turn it back on.
The door air runs of the air brake system.
