Pipe leak found.

My 1985 soundthwind y27 has a leak. It was discovered few months ago with water hooked up. I put it on to-do list. Today i know where exactly it is leaking. (Will post pics later) it is under fridge, behind the converter unit. There are concerns about the unit. Once i have that pipe leak repaired, ill look into converter. Its not charging batteries. The generator is charging the batteries though. All lights and 120 volts are working fine. Just no charging from the unit.

Confused......

How is generator charging batteries?

Generator supplies AC power for rigs MAIN AC panel which supplies AC to converter input.......same as AC Shore power connection

So how is generator charging batteries?

Hmm. I have 3 light fixtures went out in the rear just a few minutes ago. 120 volt plugs are working in the back. (I know they are seperated but are tied into converter.) Heres my question, when light fixture have a failure, is the converter unable to complete circuit? Could that be the cause for it to unable to charge batteries?
Converter looks good inside, no rust or corrosion or water damages. Thank gosh for that.

Battery pos and neg cables are typically connected right on converter

AC power in....Converter output 13.2V DC ....supplying power to DC Dist Fused Panel where individual DC circuit are....lights, water pump, fridge, furnace etc.

Converter has 'reverse polarity' fuses to protect converter IF batteries are connected backwards
Battery has an in-line fuse on POS cable to converter to protect wiring should battery short etc.

IF either of those fuses are blown..no charging of batteries
IF battery POS cable in-line fuse blown no battery charging BUT converter can still supply DC System (can't when reverse polarity fuses are blown)

Gen feeds into transfer switch
AC Shore power cord feeds into transfer switch
Transfer switch output goes to MAIN AC Panel....converter ac is feed from that
(or AC Shore Power cord plugs into an outlet that is from gen...no transfer switch used)

Fuses........either on battery POS Cable or Reverse Polarity on converter....check them!

Batteries have been checked and load tested. They are in good conditions, including engine battery. I forgot to mention that the engine will start and run but will not charge to batteries.
Im wondering if the alternator is in good condition and that the connection is somewhere else.
I have found the manual for my converter. It is pd735Q.
