Bounder: Please help - Noises dash area

i ask of you owners of fleetwood bounder the creaking and cracking sound that is coming from dash area how to fix it???

Which Bounder do you have? Mine is the 2017 35K, I did find some loose bolts under the dash on the passenger side as well as the “portable” desk slide out that was loose. You have to be a contortionist to get to the bolts under the dash. Not sure if this is the same problem, my sound was more of a popping when we hit bumps.

My '94 Bounder Class A had several 'L' brackets that held the wooden, fabric covered dash. They didn't do much so I just removed them as most of them were working their way out anyway. Dunno what they were for really. Didn't have any noises from the dash after that.

If you take a look at the Fleetwood Bounder Forum page, there are several discussions on “Bounder” dash “noises” of all sorts. Everything from popping to squeaking to wind noise, most everything was cured by repairing loose bolts and or nuts depending on year and model. Pulling the top of the dash cap is tedious but not real painful. Might gain some insight as to what may have come loose. Read that forum though, there may be some good insight.

When plastic and metal rub together you get several squeaks. I usually either tighten, or loosen and put a softer material ie weatherstripping between.
Try to identify when your moving with a second person.

If something is rubbing together try putting a playing card between them and see if that helps.
