Power Control Monitor Says 120V/5 V Shore Power

Just noticed that our hot water heater isn't working on 110VAC, but works on propane. I checked the power control monitor and it says that L1 is only 5 VAC, and L2 shows 120 VAC.

The tech data Fleetwood provided has no discussion on this indication. Any suggestions from the tech experts?

Sounds like there is an issue with shore power, or something has failed in the power transfer system.

DW isn't happy without hot water...actually, neither am I.

Air conditioners work fine.

Step one: take a volt meter and test the power pedestal. It will have 4 connections, the EAST AND WEST connections are the hot legs. Your meter should read 240V between them, and 120V between each one and the NORTH or SOUTH connections.

Check the pedestal, if ok ensure your power cable is securely connected at the pedestal as well as the coach end (if plugable and not hard-wired). Reset circuit breakers.

Thanks Ramblin - unfortunately, I left it home - this was a short trip. Headed home tomorrow, but will ask the RV park to check the voltage.

The puzzling thing is that the A/C both work fine. The L1 line, although showing 5 VAC, also shows 11 amps when the A/C is running.

I'll ask the RV park manager to check the voltage. Plug is definitely secure, and the green "OK" light is lit. C/Bs were reset - several times.

I scheduled a trip to Camping World for this exact problem on my EMS (Energy Monater Syst.) I posted this on three fourms but iRV2 solved the problem and saved me a trip and many $$$$$.
As it was explained, the computer on your system is confused, in order to reboot the thing, unplug from the shore power and cut all 12V power, walk around the coach to be sure it's dead.
Now restore the power, 12V and 120V. When I did my system rebooted and all the appliances that had been shed were restored in a few min's.
Sounded like a load of cr@p but darned if it didn't work.
Can't hurt. Keep us posted.
