Question Power cord question

Hello all,

My new-to-me 2000 Fleetwood Discovery 37v has several modifications from the previous owner. I suspect the 30amp power cord is another mod.

My question is, shouldnt this RV have a 50amp power cord? I am familiar with this coaches "power shed" option allowing me to run 30 amp hook ups.

Thanks

Here is a link to the sales brosure for your coach and it states that it has 30 amp service. http://fleetwoodrv.com/frvlibrary/do.../2000_di_f.pdf

Is this a detachable cord? (they have a marinco outlet on the end that plugs into a matching inlet on the motor home?

IF so look at the end.. (Or look into the inlet)

3 curved slots (blades) one with a "notch" like device (KEY) and a metal spot on the side of the outlet. matching a ball like projection on the collar of the inlet?

That is a 50 amp hookup.

They sell 30 amp cords that fit it though.. I have one.. Use it on 30 amp sites.

I will link to the outlet or inlet

If you have this type of hookup.. .. Well The link

Example of amp inlet showing connections

And the cord (50 amp that goes into it)
http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...rdset-50/72115

And they also have a 30 amp cord that fits it...but you know that already.

Thanks for the replies.

The 30amp cord is wired in behind the panel near the black tank. I didn't dig further.

I was confused because I swear I read in the owners manual that the coach had a 50amp system, but can run limited appliances on 30amp. I'll check again.
