Power Disconnect

Just lately I noticed that the power switch for main and accessory Switches do not shut off power. Can hear the relays working.
Any ideas.

Do you mean the main AC circuit breaker and accessories circuit breakers in the panel inside the coach?? - all AC voltages. All AC should be OFF when you turn off the coach MAIN Breaker.

What about at the pedestal AC power breakers?

If my coach is UNPLUGGED from shore power, the switches cut off all the power. If I am plugged in, some of the items still stay powered until I unplug the shore cable. It seems to be mostly the roof vent fans and a handful of lights. Not all on my Fleetwood.

If I am working on an electrical item and need the power off, I make sure the shore power is unplugged, the switches are off . Then I disconnect the neg battery cables on the house and engine batteries.

Switching off the battery disconnect, turns off the battery power to the RV.

If your plugged in, the converter/charger is still on and powering all of the 12 volt items. The converter/charger is a battery substute.

Switch off the battery and switch off the converter circuit breaker to shut down 12 volt power.

Do not shut off power to where?
I've done a bunch of work on this system for my lithium and solar upgrade and 2014 is going to be the same as far as that is concerned.
If you hear the relays clicking they are working and should disconnect some of the 12v systems (NOT all). So it depends what you are referring to. Something else sounds drastically wrong if you hear both relays engaging and disengaging when exercising the Main and Aux switches.

It's long. Even with new Batteries and the main and the Acc switchs off. No lights on. Batteries would be dead in a week. Installed a Battery Tender for two batteries. One for the engine, one for the Coach. Batteries for the Coach still go dead in a week. Something is drawing current.

What happen to the YouTube solar project?

1st there are 2 power systems in your RV. One is 12 volts DC and the other is 120 volts AC. Your lighting and control circuits are 12 volts. There is a MAIN breaker in the 120 volt AC breaker box. There is a Battery Disconnect Switch involved with the 12 volt DC system near the stars.

AC = breakers
DC = fuses

Don't have any idea what you are referring to with power switch for main accessory switches

If you hear the relays working that is for the 12 volt battery disconnect switch.

There is Paracidic equipment that does not turn off with the battery disconnect switch. CO detector, LP Detector. Radio.

Need to restate the problem and clarify which system(s) youvare talking about.
120V AC shore power connection and AC appliances, lights & accessories? Or

12V DC systems, accys, lights

Do you have an inverter? On or off?

How are you "turning off" the power?

Thanks for the reply. All items are off. Just talking about the DC 12 volt system. The battery maintainer is on and working. Have a disconnect on the engine battery.
