If you search for this below --- a sheet on how to identify jack legs,

Power Gear Tip Sheet 82-L0505 Rev 0H October 2012

You will see these jacks are all labeled as INTERNAL spring. I saw the spring when mine were apart for a rebuild kit installation.

I have also listened and do not hear the pump running when mine are retracting (could just be my aged hearing there though.

Ok, how do you know they are internal?

If you look at the page with the part numbers you mentioned --
it is headed by a caption that says they are INTERNAL SPRING JACK ASSEMBLIES

There is also one interesting note on that page

It says "spring return jacks will have only one hydraulic hose attached to one of the two ports on the top of the jack"

this leads me to my conclusion.

other thoughts ???? == Dale

I'm going to have to look when I get the coach back.

Hi Dale,

Our 03 Rev has the PG 3 leg leveling system. Had a problem this year with the jacks not retracting. In my case I had a bad control module. Replaced it and all works well.

To answer your question on how the legs retract, based on my troubleshooting and discussion with PG tech support, when the retract all button is pressed the control module opens the dump valve and all the leg solenoids. The motor doesn’t run. The spring inside each cylinder ( and the weight of the coach) are what causes the leveler legs to retract.

Hope this helps.

Mr. Dave -- that is my understanding also.

I received a call today telling me the RV was ready for pickup. I intend to pick it up tomorrow around 3:30 PM.

I will get it in the driveway and on Wednesday will finish the winterization and then move forward on this project.
