PSA: Spare Door/Basement Keys

You guys may already know this, but if you need/want to have spare Trimark or Global Link keys, take a look at Easy Keys. Basically, you just choose the key brand, and input the laser etched code on your current key, then place the order. Be warned though, keys from them are going to run about $8.00 per key.

With my last coach, other than going to a locksmith, I found that the big box stores did not carry the Trimark blanks, so I had to order them from a RV supply company. So by the time, I order the blanks and take them to someone to cut, taking a chance they would cut them correctly, I figured, the price would wash out.

Anyway, this may be a service that may help some folks...

Thank you for that PSA. I'm sure kit will benefit some.

Trimark also sells keys by key number, direct. The prices were quite reasonable when I ordered them.

Trimark spare keys

Nice to know. I just had some duplicates made of my Trimark keys. My local Ace Hardware store had the blanks on hand and cut them while we waited. Under 2 bucks per key. Worked perfectly.

I agree with the observation that the big box stores may or may not have them on hand.

I’ll confirm the Trimark part, I needed some keys for our Vista last year, I forget the pricing but it was incredibly reasonable and they shipped the following day.

I don't recall the price, but it was definitey more than $2/key. Nobody local had the blank.
