Due to a newbie winterizing error, the water valve for the automatic ice
maker froze and cracked
. We don't plan on using the ice maker anyway and would like to just cap the water line. The photo below shows the area under the kitchen sink. There is an inline filter with a line coming out the top and a connection (red arrow) that branches up to the drinking water spigot on the sink and a line branching off to the right and down through the floor (yellow arrow). Does this line go to the ice maker to filter the water for making ice? If we cap that fitting or just put a straight fitting directly to the water spigot, would that cut off the water that would be going to the ice maker? Right now, if we turn on the pump, water is shooting out of the line that was attached to the water valve in the refrigerator access area on the outside of the rv.
Thanks for your input!
