Question Question about Leveling Jacks Fleetwood 28

Hi all - when I am turning right, the leveling Jacks alarm comes on and beeps and blinks, and then it turns off. It just goes off after a few minutes by itself. Where do I begin to check the cause of this? Thanks.

First off, Welcome to iRV2!

Some of the leveling systems use a float in the fluid reservoir and low fluid can cause an alarm. If you could post the brand and model of the levelers it would help diagnose.

The first thing I would try is check your fluid level. Be on simi level ground, jacks UP and check tank level. It should be almost to top of tank. Good Luck.

I don't believe you have a problem. Mine does the same thing. Especially in a tight or quick turn. I would think the system has a stability/level sensor so as you make " hard" turns it will set them off. I just turn the system off.

Fleetwood uses power gear jacks. They use a float in the fluid tank to alarm when the jacks are down. If you fill the tank all the way to the opening the alarm will stop. The reason the alarm will sound only when turning is that your tank is slightly low and the fluid slings to one side and allows the float to move down and the float contacts to close and activate the alarm.
We were a Fleetwood dealer this is very common with the power gear jacks.

Yeah, not a big deal, just find the reservoir and add a few ounces. That should take care of it.

Fill with the jacks up or you’ll have a mess!

I had this problem until I figured out I was a little low on hydraulic fluid. Make sure your jacks are up when you check and fill it
