Question for 2014 Storm Owners

Hey everyone, I have a 2014 Storm 32H. Bought it new. I have 15,000 miles on the coach now and went to check the air cleaner. To my surprise, the box holding the air cleaner is mounted in plain sight. Only problem the windsheild motor is mounted directly above it and touching the top of the box. The lid can not come off because of this. Does anyone else have this problem?

This is yet another example for my list on why not to by Fleetwood again. There are good things, but too many designing short cuts. They just dont seem to put that extra thought and time in designing and assembling their coaches. At least on the lower priced coaches.

Dave, if you read enough threads on the forum, I think you'll find out opening the air filter box is a common complaint for many coaches built on F53 chassis.

Air filter access

This would seem to be a question for Ford to answer. It is probably common to all C53 chassis.

You're probably right. The next time I have it serviced by a Ford Tech, I will have the Air cleaner changed and watch him do it. I think it's pretty much unexceptable to install the AC box in a way that it cannot be opened. That seems to be a Ford/Fleetwood bad design.

BTW it's an F53 chassis not a C53.
