I have a 2006 fleetwood discovery 39L its got four slides and my question is that the front slides when they are closed you can look at the buttom coner where the wall and the slide make the corner on the floor and you can see day light it looks like something is missing like a gasket or something, do all discovery owners out there have the same problem? Because in the winter that lets cold air in and it can also let in some bugs, can you guys let me know if anybody else as this or is it just my RV? Thanks Joe.

I just asked about a problem on the monster full length single slide models of the Discovery and Ellipse.

Wondered if that would be a problem with the seals on something that long.

When the slide is open go outside and see if the bottom of the gasket is tight. It should be. When closed are the outside bottom corners as tight as the top, if not the slide needs adjustment.

No, I should have made it more clear. I am a potential buyer of a full length slide out coach.

I am just looking for things to chew on before I buy.

I have a Bounder 38v with a full wall slide. The only problems I have had with it I have caused myself. The full slide makes the rv seem twice as big as our last coach and makes it live very comfortably. One of the draw backs is that in extremely windy weather I have had to close the slide because the topper flapped so loud that we could not sleep. Also in very cold weather (30 degrees) it is difficult to heat the extra space. We have had that type of weather driving to Florida in December and coming home in April.

We bought our coach with 12,000 miles on it. Somewhere along the way, somebody has glued an extra 12 inch piece of seal over the bottom of each slide seal. There is a trace of water damage at the bottom of the big slide in front, so I assume they had similar problems. We havn't detected any leakage , so I guess this solution works.
