Raining Inside

I may just be ignorant, but I gotta learn somewhere!
Each time we bring in our main room slide after it has rained there is a whole big bunch of water on top that ends up making a huge mess as soon as we move the coach.
The top seal does not look bad, but it sure does'nt wipe the water off as the slide comes in.
I have resorted to use the manual leveler to tilt the coach before we bring the slide in, but that seems extreme.
Can any one educate me before my wife has another wet carpet fit?

I have to do this if I leave right after a rain shower on my full wall slide. I don’t understand why the water pools on top of my slide when it is fully covered with a slide topper but, it does. I get on my ladder with a long handled squeegee and get it off. Other Newmar owners tilt the coach forward with the jacks. I only had to have water pouring onto my drivers seat once to learn my lesson. However, if I have been at the campground for a couple of days after the rain then, I have almost forgotten. I guess I will have to tape a reminder after it rains to my satellite up sign that I hang on the steering wheel.

As a service manager, I can assure you this happens quite often. The only thing worse than cold water down the back, is cold water mixed with leaves, down the back. Most people do just as you said. Drop the front or rear of the coach before bringing the slide out in.

Big slide shower

Thanx everyone for the responses. I guess tilting the coach is the answer. I made up a towel bundle centered on a long string that we use to drag back and forth to dry the slide top from the inside after we "tilt/pause/retract". Works pretty well to keep everything clean and dry.
