I'll see how much I can annoy my hubby with the camera flash while he is trying to remove them.

He's gonna need a big one , Sarah. This is what I bought when I thought I needed to remove them for my Auto Motion Shades. The screws to remove the valance are tough to get to on the ends where the valance is deeper.
It's a 6" Phillips driver and a 6" extension. This will prevent scraped knuckles and screaming .

Thanks, Cliff. My hubby likes any excuse to buy a new tool. (Although I think he has some giant screwdrivers already.) We are dreading removing the day/night MCDs more than the valance. He had to take down the one in the bedroom to replace a broken spring and it was HELL getting that thing out and back in.
We are going to bring the Bounder home tomorrow and remove the L-Shaped sofa. Yikes.

I showed you where the screws were , I showed you what screw driver to use. If I wasn't in NC , I'd come by and do it .

Sarah, for what it's worth, my dear friend Karen that re-covered my salon window coverings, was terrified, she said, of the day/night shades. I think in retrospect that's why she took so long to start the project.
The two front windows in my coach (over the dinette table and over the sofa) both had day/night shades, she got them replaced and now she says she's not afraid at all to finish the three in the bedroom. They are all just a single night shade.
But she did say, her fear of messing them up was far worse than the actual project. She did have to remove the false bottom of the cabinets above the windows to get to the screws in the top of the 'lambrequin'
Wish I could help with more, and you are probably already done now.....
Here are her finished pics, don't have a clue if any of these will help you at all, your 'lambrequins' are much more high end than mine but maybe it will help.
Post pics of your progress!

Kent, we just got the sofa out yesterday (see other whiney thread). So today is the lambriquin adventure!!
Oh, and your pics didn't show up.
ETA...ok, nevermind. I see the pics now. Looks GREAT! I don't think our shades are the same. We have the MCD window shades that are separate pull-down shades...one for day and one for night.

OK, I'm not sure what that is, but it looks like I could probably use it.
