Residential fridge coming open during travel

Just Passing this along if your fridge pops open while in travel . Check out the Fridge Fixer . It is super easy to install and works like a champ .

I have to agree with you I put it on my Samsung refrigerator and it works great. Much better than what the factory gives you.

Pretty cool. I got a fairly new used 35K recently and the factory door lock was luckily in a drawer as I've looked at a number of rigs with scratched up door from that device. The prior owner had removed it. We've been using a strap on ours. $40 for this really isn't so bad.

Bob1340 I have been fighting the freezer flying open when I turn I have a strap on the ice box doors but couldn't come up with a way to hold the freezer closed . I like the fact to that I didn't have to drill any holes in my Icebox .

I have a 2013 Bounder with the four-door fridge and solved the problem with a shim (cedar shingle) jammed in between the four handles. Simple and free.

I just installed a little catch I got from Total Value RV in Elkhart, IN ($7). I modified it a little to fit better, but seems to do a good job for $7.

We use flexible ties that we bought at Home Depot for around $5/ pair. They are used for extension cords to keep them coiled up, basically is a big twist tie. Rubber coated so they don't scratch cabinet doors or fridge. DW battens down all the hatches before departure. Easy to get in while traveling if needed.
