Residential Refrigerator Recommendations for Fleetwood Bounder 35H
We are replacing our worn out Norcold 4 door refrigerator and are going to go with a residential refrigerator. We've already decided to take this route, so I'm wondering if anyone that has actually done this could recommend which brand and model number they went with? Our refrigerator is in our slideout, as I think it would be for all 35H Bounders.
We will of course measure and look, but I'm curious what others have chosen.
Thanks!

Look at the Samsung RF18. At Lowes, if you are a veteran, you can get 10% off.

First of all
I installed a Frigidaire 20.5 top freezer a few years back. It is close to the same size as the Norcold was, needing a few modifications to make it fit. I love the idea of a residential refrigerator, but the Frigidaire unit has had its design problems. It doers not hold the freezer temperatures consistently, allowing them to fluctuate between 0 and 15 depending on several factors And as in most refrigerators its not designed for below 40 degree temperatures. But on the plus side, this thing is huge compared to the Norcold!

The Samsung is good until it isn't. My experience here

Agree , Our Redwood has one. It could be ordered with a 4 door RV gas/electric or a inverter and residual . factory was a 1200 watt inverter with Samsung on ours.

Thanks for the welcome!
Well, heck, I need something that keeps acceptable temps, as that's the reason we're replacing the Norcold. Thanks for the reply!

Yes, we will not be choosing Samsung. Not had any good experiences there.

Welcome.
Here’s a video of an install in a 35E. It’s a few years old so the model they used is an older model but the install is interesting. I had a 35E and was considering the switch but sold it.

This is a installation on a 2007 Discovery and is not installed on a slide out.

Residential Refrigerator Recommendations for Fleetwood Bounder 35H
Our 5+ yr old Samsung in our coach has been reliable, energy efficient, and is quieter than the Whirlpool in our home. It stays on year round. Ice maker still working fine.
I would not have chosen one because I prefer to buy American, but previous owner had it installed.
Next fridge for our home will probably be a Samsung, as our latest high end American made refrigerators have not lasted very long, and the ice makers are un-reliable.

installed frigidaire 1425 a little narrower than the norcold was able to make a broom closet out of the extra space, fridge has been working well with steady temps and is friendly with my msw inverter, the other plus is its low power draw when on battery power and it has more storage than the norcold
