I don't remember what the default setting was, but the dealer set it a bit higher than I have it now. I set it at 12.1 based on what I was able to find on the AGM batteries.
I'd turn it off when parking inside. If nothing else, everything in there, and probably in the coach, will smell like diesel exhaust. Mine is always off unless we're "boondocking", which is not very common for us, but it has worked well when we have.

Only concern I would have is the Gen firing up while in my indoor storage facility, although perhaps that isnt a big deal. I may have to call American and see where the gen wires I will need to "tap into" are.

Once I set mine, it is active until I turn on the ignition. Once the ignition is activated if I want the auto start active, I must push the auto gen button and enter, so I don't think it will start in storage on you unless you have activated the auto start feature.

My 08 Rev will and will also start if the thermostat calls for AC.

You have to be an electrical engineer to figure out some of this stuff!
I just left mine as it came from the factory...works okay...so far.

I think the key item is this.
Jay,
Our rigs did NOT come with autostart from the factory. A $250 part and labor will get you there though.

Sounds interesting to me! I might have that installed on my next shop trip after my next bunch of runs.
OH and by the way, I'll get you some photos of those battery trays. It turns out it's two trays side by side.

Can anyone tell me if this panel typically stays on even when both battery switches are off? Mines been on and I swear it didn't used to be. It's draining the batteries very slightly so I have to keep plugging the coach back in every few days.

If my house battery switch is on store it's dead.

If it's staying on, what would this indicate?

The inverter/charger control stays on no matter what, the gen control should die when batteries are turned off. Gen should not start either if batteries are off.

I have an 03 Rev 40C and the genset starts off the house batteries only. If the house batteries are low, genset won't start.
