Hello friends. My wife and I are 2 years away from retirement and full timing. We have been looking for a higher end diesel pusher with the TV on the side wall and a complete separate bathroom. We had decided on the Itasca Horizon 40TD until we saw the Revolution LE 42K today at Lazydays in Tampa. Wow. My questions to you guys:
1. It comes with a tag axle. I assume from my trucking days that it "steers" or turns with the coach and is lifted when maneuvering in tight quarters or in reverse. True? Does it lift on its own when you shift into reverse?
2. Supposedly the chassis is made by Spartan. I see 2 references to the chassis model, one calls it a "Liberty" model and the other calls it the "XC" model. I saw these either in brochures or at the Revolution LE web site or something in the coach. However, when I go to the Spartan web site they do not make a :Liberty" or "XC" model. Any ideas how to explain this?
It looks like Itasca might have lost a sale. What a sweet machine. I think some of the construction details like wiring labeling and hose routing look better in the Itasca, but the overall Revolution package blew us away. Thanks for your comments!

The reference to XC Chassis for the newer Revolutions on the Spartan Chassis is most certainly a mistake by Fleetwood. XC is a reference to Freightliner Chassis. I brought it to their attention and they never responded. The Spartan/Liberty Chassis is Spartan with a Liberty superstructure connecting the two ends. I have no experience with the Revolution Tag axles but doubt they turn or even lift automatically. Perhaps others at the Revolution Owners Group have a definitive answer. You are welcome to join. Of course it is free.

I believe Newell has the only steerable tag axle.

I think that you will find that the tag on the Revolution will raise automatically when placed in reverse. The Revolution is a quality coach built on the same line as the American Coach products. I suggest that you join the Revolution Owners Yahoo Group where you will learn a great deal about the coach.

Thanks guys. I found the group and will join. Already read many of the posts. I have to admit I really liked that coach. We will see if my business sells for enough for an American Eagle!
