Roof Leaking

I repaired along the edge of my roof with Eterna Bond Tape. This tape is amazing. Here is my problem. I know I sealed the areas that leaked. We had rain and it leaked. I called the company that sells the EPDM Liquid rubber for motor home roofs. I asked if the Eterna Bond Tape be covered with the EPDM stuff. She told me yes, as long as I rough up the tape surface with light sanding and then use a contact cement. Has anyone done this before and if so what type of contact cement to use.

I am not sure why cement would be needed but if so, would imagine it would be any of the contact cements used for any edpm rubber(usually used for seams). Make sure you don't try to use latex as it is not meant for rubber to rubber. Contact cement is available at home depot/lowes/menards home centers. For what it's worth, had a friend in Arizona used liquid roof and swears by it.
