Rotating Driver Seat

If anyone has found a way to rotate the drivers seat in our vintage Bounder so it faces the main living area, could you please explain it to me? Thanks. Chuck

On My 97 Southwind the lever is on the left hand side and make sure the seat is not reclined back or it will hit the wall.

Rotating Driver Seat

I couldn’t do it on my 08 Bounder until I went to the factory and they repositioned floor bracket. Even then there was a procedure I had to follow. Lifted the arms ,and moved the chair and the seat back all the way forward. and then swiveled it around ( if I remember correctly ). Maybe yours will swivel by doing the above.

In our 03 Bounder 35R, the driver seat does not rotate all the way, as the passenger seat does. I tried every which way and asked another two people, more familiar with the subject to try...nada....

Not even with the “help” of G & T’s.....

I know where the lever is. The seat will not swivel past the steering wheel. Chuck

I'm afraid this is just the reality. I may have to just forget it. Not a big deal, but I would like to get one more usable seat. Chuck

On our ‘95 Bounder, slide the seat towards the steering wheel, move the lever out(the one of two that closest to front of the seat. Now move the rearward of those two levers out, and swivel the seat towards the right. Our drivers seat then lines up with the end of the couch sectional.

Rotating the seat and moving it backward or forward only allows it to turn until the seat arm and back hit the steering wheel. No adjusting of the seat or the steering wheel allows it to turn any further. Chuck

It was quite a procedure, but ours in our 06 would turn around. I'm trying to remember but I think steering wheel had to be tilted & telescoped all the way up, so the wheel would clear the top of the arm that was up. Seat arms up so they clear the steering column, seat back fully upright, seat forward - maybe not all the way but most of it. It didn't turn easily but it did turn.

Our does a 1/4 turn, we have the couch directly behind the drivers seat. When turned, it’s like adding on to the end of the couch, the arm rest is up and out of the way

Sure wish that would work but it doesn't. But thanks. Chuck

Check on line for a "swivel plate" adapter.
Maybe E Trailer, or ebay.
Flexsteel is gone but lots of other furniture makers out there.

Steering wheel is moveable in the '02 39R which probably makes the difference.

I can't imagine too many want to mess with a driver's seat due to the liability. I can see removing it and mounting it further back. May be a perfect time to replace it with a new air suspension seat that I've seen at the Cummins dealership. I can imagine that the foam is getting old in that original seat. Certainly you can come up with a few excuses to get a new seat out of this
