RV warenty cost

Hi I'm looking at a new coach at the end of the year. What are people paying for extended warentys ? I am in CA and the company that I have seen suggested here is not available in Ca. I'm thinking I will be stuck purchasing the dealers plan.

It's a matter of choice, but I'd never buy an extended warranty, again. The first time, the dealer never bought the coverage. Then went into bankruptcy and I got nothing. I have heard of other cases where the dealer kept the money and you had to go to them for repairs which were only paid for it they approved them. You can pay up to 10K for an extend warranty and still end up with nothing.

Good Luck !!

Never buy warranty again

Bought a $4,800 extended warranty on a 2008 Bounder, and everytime I filed a claim, it was denied because "..it was a pre-existing issue."
Cancelled it and got back about 90% of my investment.
Be careful dealing with American Guardian....

Personally I would not buy one for a 2008, but the decision is yours. As for where to buy, there are several companies and you are not stuck with just what the dealer offers. Maybe the one that is popular here doesn't do business in CA, but others do. Some other choices include Good Sam ERS, Coach-Net RV Protect, the one from Wholesale Warranties, Cornerstone, etc. Not that I'm recommending these or any other product, but you do have a choice beyond what the dealer has.

Nor do you have to be in a hurry. You have time to shop around and find a plan and price you like.

By law they are not "warranties" no matter what they call them. They are a service policy (insurance) and do not give you the same legal rights as a warranty.
