Scan Gauge D & 2016/2017 Freightliner Chassis Motorhomes

I had a Scan Gauge D in my previous motorhome and recently purchased one for our 2017 Fleetwood Discovery. When I went to install it, however, I found that the J1939 plug, which worked fine in our 2015 Jayco Seneca, would not fit into the socket on the Fleetwood.

I called the Scan Gauge folks and was told that Freightliner has upgraded the diagnostic bus starting in late 2016 and is now using a J1939-2 interface with a different pin layout (the receptacle is also now green instead of black).

The new interface requires a different connector and a new software version in the Scan Gauge itself. They're sending me a replacement unit with the new connector and software version.

I wanted to pass this along in case anyone else runs into the same issue.
