Screw Cover Trim

On a recent trip a large section of the screw cover trim on the exterior of the cab over bunk and front of the coach came loose then started flapping in the wind. I have a couple of questions.

1) When measuring for replacement trim do you measure the channel width or actual trim width?

2) Does anyone have a good source for the trim?

TIA,

BT2 Zeke

Are you talking about the vinyl strip that looks like this? https://www.all-rite.com/economy-insert.html

If so, just about any RV place should carry it. So does Amazon, etrailer, etc.

Measure the trim.

The trim may be compressed when it was installed in the channel. When I replaced mine, I measured the channel, added 1/8” and bought one that was 3/16” wider than channel. Bought it at an RV surplus for $0.05/foot.
