I just bought my '06 Discovery and had some water issues this past weekend. When washing the unit yesterday, I noticed some screws IN the gutter/channel that collects the water to the downspouts at the back and front. It appears the screw is reducing the flow and causing some build up of mud and gunk. I have cleaned both tracks, and hopefully this will help. I am considering removing those screws and either installing smaller ones that will do all the way down, or removing all together, sealing the hole and putting a screw on the outside to hold the slide topper.

Anyone had any water related leak issues caused by these screws? Dirty channel/gutters?

Yes, these screws are the slide awning stays...and I removed them (too tall and rusty) and used shorter stainless screws w/sealant...don't understand why they use what they use.

I believe it was also causing poor drainage and leaking issues.
