sealing clearance lights
I developed a very small leak on dash of my '16 Bounder 35K after a rather heavy rain. I am toying with the idea of sealing the clearance lights above the windshield. Do the LED lights "pop out" where I can put a ribbon of caulk around then pop back in?/or would it be more advantageous to just run a bead around the rubber gasket? Watchu think???

The lense should come right off, but the back should be screwed on...

The best way to seal the lights would be to dismount them and reseal the gasket they sit on. Also, put sealant in the screw holes and the opening for the wires. Don't use silicone, it will fail.

Are they round with what looks to be a grommet holding them in? if yes, they will just pull out using a small flat blade screwdriver

We had the same thing occur about a year ago while still under warranty. When I went on the roof to look I found that a couple of the rubber gaskets were cracked. The dealership sealed over the gaskets. Been a year now and no further issues. I have checked the roof intermittently and the sealant is as good as new.

Would it be better to pop out and put a bead of sealant then pop back in, or just put a bead around the rubber gasket? I am leaning to popping out if possible.

Same here...never had an actual leak on my 2016 bounder but the service center just filled/sealed around the existing grommet with a clear sealant. They said it was a very common leak spot and she does the repair to any coach she works on whether they had a leak or not.
