Shedding power to front AC

I was exercising my generator today and when I shut off my rear AC the Electronic Climate Control sheds the power to the front AC, the fan stills runs but not the compressor. I can turn on and run just rear Ac but not the front one by itself. I have never noticed before because living in Florida we always have both AC's on all the time. I don't have a 30 amp outlet at the house to see if it does it on shorepower. I have a Onan Gold 5500 watt generator .I looked online at the troubleshooting guide and my problem wasn't listed, at least I didn't see it. 2007 Fleetwood Fiesta Lx 31M

Hard to understand how a 30 amp service shore or 5.5kw genset can run both A/C units must be small units? ...I guess it can if nothing else is on. Is this a 30 or 50 amp max coach?

Was both AC units working with 50amp shore power? Generally the shedding feature starts at the least used circuit, washer and sheds that first. Since you have a power management system (who makes it?) try unplugging all the connectors to the control board and wait 10 minutes and reinstall them.

Check the 2 breakers on the generator.

One breaker covers one AC and the rest of the RV. The second breaker covers the other AC unit.

If one breaker is off, it assumes 30 amp shore power only.

Two AC units is why they install 5500 watt generators.

5500 watt will run 2 AC units. They have a total output of 45 amps.

I'm not sure I understand the question? did it SHED after you shut the generator off and the system returned to shore power? If so, this may be normal.

On my unit: I have 30 amp shore power service. I can usually run both A/C units, but I can't run any other high power appliances if both of the A/C compressors are running, as the ECC will SHED one of them. I have an 11.5k btu in the front, and a 9k btu in the rear.

I have a short article that explains how the 120 volts is applied during shore power, and when the generator is running.

Rear A/C unit can be run on separate 20 amp shore power circuit – 1999 Southwind 35S
