Shower Control Knob

In our recently purchased Fleetwood Pace Arrow, we noticed that the shower Control knob is either hot or cold, it doesn't seem to mix the water. That obviously means for a shower that is too hot or a cold shower, neither that is preferable. Anyone also have this issue? Appears to be the factory shower Control, photo attached. I see in other motorhomes they have a Control for hot and Control for cold. Anyone have any success in replacing the shower Control or is there something I'm doing wrong? Thank you.

Shower head or knob?? Shower head and pressure seems good just the temperature doesn't mix like a typical single knob shower Control.

I had mine replaced on my 2003 Pace Arrow, some years ago. The repair shop put a new on in. On my coach there was a access panel on the wall behind the mixer. As I recall they only charged an hours labor and about $80 for the new part.

I wanted to install a single lever shower control like yours.
People on this site advised me not to referring to the very problem you are having.
One fellow said he changed his to the two handle type and his wife loved the change.

I never made the change.

If you remove the handle and the cover plate, you will expose the valve. The cartridge that is held in place by a retainer, is replaceable. Remove the existing cartridge and take it to a Home Depot, or a large hardware store. They should be able to identify it. If not, you may need to try a pluming supply store.

The valve will look something like the photo. The steel thing with the loop is the retainer, although there are some that look different. Pull the retainer up an off, then pull the cartridge out.
