Unhappy Slide problem

Our slide on dinning side of Fleetwood Providence 04 is causing black marks on the carpet and actually causing cut marks on the lino. Any solutions out there. Thanks!

Our living room slide did/does the same. It actually cut the original carpet through to the pad! My solution is using "slide-out slickers"Lipper Components|Lippert Components RV Accessories
They are now heavily scratched and scarred, but our 2nd carpet still looks like new.
I find it ironic that Lippert, the leading manufacturer of slide mechanisms, makes this product too.

Ray's advice is good. You should also try bringing the slides in just a couple of inches and, while lying on the floor with a flashlight, carefully inspect the skids on your slide which ride on the floor. You may well have brought the slide in while a stone or ??? was on the floor and it could have been imbedded in the skid causing the problem.
