I have a Power Gear. Take a look at the article, particularly the photos to see if yours is the same.. My comments reference my power gear slide. If you have something else, this may, or may not apply..
Slide lube and adjust – 1999 Southwind 35S
I adjusted mine (raised the front up a small amount) because it was binding on the bottom..
My slide has a slight tilt to it, of maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch at the bottom just before the top hits the frame when retracting or extending. The top always hits first regardless of extending or retracting.
i.e. when retracting, the top is tilted in slightly just before it makes contact. When extending, the top is tilted out slightly just before it makes contact.
I don't think mine has any adjustment for this, unless the vertical support could be shimmed.
Look at the two drawings, note the words "What is here?". When I made that drawing I was trying to figure out what was on the bottom, was it supported on the bottom, as this was the problem I was having, something on the bottom was dragging.
There is nothing on the bottom, there is no "support" there. The slide is a big box thats suspended by the outside wall, there is no support on the bottom. When its fully extended, the "what is here" is a small plastic pad that the helps support the bottom.
Is your slide actually going out all the way out?? The controller has a built in limit adjustment, it limits based on current draw, i.e. when slide hits the wall, the motor starts seeing a heavy load and the current goes up. If the stop adjustment isn't set high enough, the motor will cutoff before the slide seals all the way around..
I think on mine, its probably set to max, as my motor doesn't cut off. As long as I hold the button, the motor attempts to run.
Take a look at page 4 in this manual..
