Angry Slide Spur Gear Replacement

On our last trip to our favorite camp resort (KQ Ranch in Julian) we had a problem bring the slid in. We heard a very loud bang from the driver side aft gear slid upon seated fully in. After we got home, i investigated the issue and found that the spur gear had stripped 6 teeth off its gear.
My question is, has anyone replaced this gear and how do you get the shaft out. It appears to be frozen and any tips for me to remove it. The two set screws are removed, and the roll pin is also removed. i have it soaked with WD40 right now.

You may have put a jack under slide and lift a little to relieve pressure off the gear so it can be removed.
